Best halal in the city. The sauce they use is amazing . The chicken is so well seasoned and the portions are big.

These guys are great. My happy place to get a gyro that is filling, flavorful and economical. $8 is all you need. The upper east side finally has a good halal option. Halal guys are overrated.

This spot always satisfies my halal craving! My go-to order is the chicken platter which comes with chicken over rice, salad, and pita bread. It has never disappointed. The portion is huge too. Service is very quick and the staff is friendly! 10/10 recommend

My go to halal spot! Empire is always delicious, saucy, and fresh. I typically order the fish over rice with hot sauce, white sauce, and bbq sauce. The fish is always cooked just right and the plate comes with a generous portion. My friend ordered the chicken and lamb salad and said it was satisfying and one of his favorite halal meals. We also ordered the samosa, which came with a mint chutney and duck sauce (it sometimes comes with tamarind too). The samosa has a great spicy flavor. Service is always very fast. Would highly recommend!

I come here regularly for lunch and it's top notch!!! Easily the best halal cart food I've had in the midtown area. Whether you get chicken, lamb, combo, or fish over rice they're all solid! Personal favorite is chicken over rice with white sauce, hot sauce, and green sauce. If you're splurging, make sure to get the rice pudding too, it's incredible.

I always come to Empire Halal whenever I'm craving an inexpensive, yet quality nutritious meal! The veggies are so fresh and the meat is tasty without the odd coloring of most halal truck meats. The staff are kind and maintain a functioning, well-maintain food truck! They are also unique in that they offer a spicy habanero sauce besides the usual bbq or white! Many people have stopped to ask me where I got my lunch from. I enthusiastically tell them Empire Halal -- anyone reading this has to come here too!

Quite possibly my favorite halal cart in Manhattan. Love the lamb over rice with cilantro sauce and white sauce. The side salad in the platter always has the freshest cucumber slices, and the rice is moist and flavorful. Seriously tho, that slightly tangy cilantro sauce is perfection. Also really like their wings, I like getting it w their mango habenero sauce - it's got a good kick but isn't overpoweringly spicy (also goes great on top of the lamb and chicken rice platters!). They're not stingy with portions and always gives extra sauces. Service is great, super efficient. Top of the crop in terms of halal cart vibes!

I ordered online and then found out that this place was a big halal truck that's parked on 3rd Avenue! When I arrived, they made my order right away. I had the Chicken and Lamb over rice. The chicken was nice bc it was in bigger chunks than other halal trucks. I think its a few more dollars than other trucks, but the portions seem slightly bigger as well. Overall, a filling meal for $10!

Not to be drama but RUNNNNNN to this Halal truck!! 11/10!!!! Best halal truck on the UES 10000%. Best customer service, quality, portion, price, cleanliness, speediness, and yumminess of food. These ppl are the friendliest, quickest, and most generous w their portions and extra sauces no charge and nicely wrapped gyro and extra napkins and utensils. New to the UES so tried not to eat same place twice, but they can take all my $ (they take card and cash but bring some bills bc u can't tip on card ://) I'm a lamb gyro gal and I'm gonna say it - best lamb gyro I've ever had!!! There's nothing better than fresh, crunchy onions, tomatoes, cukes and juicy lamb and tomatoes on a cloud of pita topped w a combo of the sauciest white garlicky, red hot sauce (cilantro is also yummmmm and tangy). It's handheld but there's plentyyyy of rebound toppings that spill out for an extra little salad. Refreshing and satisfying and doesn't make ya feel slow and sluggish to champion on the rest of the day. Peep the pics for proof, much love Empire halal!!
